My mom and my sister bought me some textbooks for next term from Taiwan during their recent vacation in HK and Taiwan. So not only did I get a sweet deal from the bookstore they also threw in a little something extra.
It probably didn’t cost them much, but this reusable fabric book bag was given in lieu of the environment unfriendly super duper thick reinforced plastic bag. This brings my bag count to a grand total of 7… or 8… I lost track. =p I guess it’s their way of becoming that spiffy “carbon neutral” company that everyone is talking about. This store is actually quite small so its rather impressive to see them spend money to reduce waste going into the landfill.

Note: I might not be keeping one of the textbooks (ECE 231). See me during first day of class for it! First come first serve!

Oink.
waa?? what store is this???
Dymocks? PageOne?
It’s some store in Taipei, they do retail only.
Last time I was there I asked if they shipped their orders, the owner started going off about how they don’t send the books by mail otherwise they get blacklisted by the customs.
