Microsoft is now encouraging students to “steal” Microsoft Office. Well, starting this Wednesday, Microsoft will be offering their high end Office Ultimate to post-secondary students at a low low price of $60. This is actually a really good deal, because the best deal for Waterloo students still stands at $99 for Office 2007 Professional.

Remember, if you are stealing software, don’t whine when someone else pirates your company’s product 5 years from now and you don’t get that big fat bonus cheque! Pirates aren’t allowed to whine about pirates. =)

Update: Here’s the website to buy and download Office ultimate for $66 CAD. I don’t think they’ll ship you the box though :( Other useful Office products (Visio, Project, etc.) are available from MSDN-AA. This website appears to be operating out of the EU, so no GST/PST on it! If you really really want the box with the CD, there will be an additional $13 charge.
