I finally pulled myself together to finish that ECE 251 projects on the weekend. I managed to put in more semantic checks then what the project appeared to be looking for, based on the error reporting class that the TA provided. The documentation was slightly rushed so there were no pretty UML diagrams and such, which would’ve been a huge bonus on the project deliverables. I think out of all of my ECE courses, this course definitely goes up on my list of favourite courses for the interesting content. Although the lectures were rather boring for the students, but there is really no way to make this course “interesting” until you know what it can do.
I think this was my first ever all-nighter that I had to make for a project deadline, but I’ll have to blame it on myself to be slacking so much. I started looking at this project about two weeks ago and it didn’t seem that intimidating when I started coding it so I really took my time with it. It wasn’t until maybe Friday or Saturday when I started to become worried about the project. The bulk of the project was not done until Sunday, so the whole project took probably about only 18 hours to complete by myself… with various breaks in between ^_^
Exam schedule seems alright this year. The only one that I am worried about is the ECE 204 (Numerical Methods) exam, which is conveniently scheduled for this Thursday. The rest should be alright, except for ECE 222 and 241 which might need some extra polishing on. My ECON 202 exam is scheduled conveniently directly after my ECE 241 exam. The exam will have only 60 multiple choice questions though, which should be a breeze. Gah… can’t wait to get out of here!
