Yes, I’m still in Vancouver, but it is actually snowing heavily outside my window right now. After I got back from the HK/Taiwan, besides working, a lot of time was spent on bringing the house back into shape because I’m the only one living in it now! I had to slowly get the fridge and pantry restocked with the exciting variety of groceries that are never available in Waterloo or Toronto for that matter. But the house is finally all cleaned up and I can start to do things that I want to do!

This weekend (tomorrow) I am heading up to Cypress with some buddies from PMC-Sierra. It should be a pretty good day for snowboarding since its snowing pretty hard today. After that, it’ll probably be a grand meal of Japanese food of some sort at one of the joints in the west end.

Work’s been pretty good and I am slowly getting back into the job. This is my first time returning to an employer ever and it has been pretty weird to go back to the same work environment after being in school for 4 months. It feels as if there’s a gap of my memory missing somewhere in there. It’s kind of like a deja vu feeling, but not exactly?

Business Objects is currently in the process of closing the acquisition by SAP, so there are a lots of exciting changes happening/coming. I can already predict some of the big things coming our way, but I am probably not allowed to discuss them for now until everything becomes official this Wednesday! I am probably going to be in a dumptruckload of meetings this week with a dumptruckload of work from these “exciting changes”, but I’ll still be hanging around online, so feel free to say hi to me there! :p
