Today was a pretty relaxed day at work with team development meetings, team lunches and co-ordination meetings. The farewell wine and cheese in somewhat of a UE tradition at the end of the day really marked the beginning of the weekend. It just occurred to me today that the poor Crystal Reports team next door must be used to all the ruckus that comes from the UE pod/hexical/what-ever-you-call-these-things by now.
I’ve decided to name my team’s cubicle set up as the “aPod”, based on Douglas Coupland’s acclaimed novel “jPod“. Hmm… now I just need to get some sort of sign up for that… hehe.
Many of the bigger decisions have been made as a result of the acquisition by SAP so it really sets the path that I’m going to be approaching in the coming months. There’s still lots of exciting work to be done as part of the whole SAP/BOBJ integration and it’s definitely going to be very interesting to be here for most of it. I am taking up responsibilities for some product line(s) (hehe, can’t be too specific here) as well as some products based on emerging technologies. Anyways, I think it’ll be great if I can get done what I am thinking of getting done in the next little while. =D

The personal views and opinions expressed above may or may not reflect that of Business Objects or SAP and definitely does not represent Hilary Clinton who had a very “Hilarious” photo published in today’s copy of 24 hours (Vancouver edition, drugs, guns, and trees). =P
Random?
Oh yes.
