While looking up for the location of a super delicious restaurant I came across, I noticed that Google Maps had recently added little icons for all of the convenience stores to the map in Taiwan. Although this feature is still somewhat buggy with some stores showing up on only one of the two lowest zoom levels and not both, I don’t blame them since it’d be impossible to fit 3 icons in one spot in some instances. ;-)

Of the stores I quickly verified, the location placement of these icons are extremely accurate. So next time I’m in Taiwan, instead of circling the block (<1 minute) to find a 7-eleven, I can flip out the cell phone and get Google Maps pedestrian directions for something 25 metres away. lol
