Continuing from the previous post, if you really don’t like Google having every last piece of your personal information (though really, resistance is futile), you could have your Outlook calendar uploaded automatically to the web in ICal format. This will still let you to let others know how insanely busy your regular engineering class schedule is, and then drop in the odd appointments with life.

This is actually all pretty easy. If you are geeky enough, you’ll know what to do just from the screenshot above. This of course requires the super easy to set up WebDAV server on your favourite web hosting service.
If you are even more adventurous (or just embarrassed by URLs from the stone ages with actual file extensions), you can do things like adding a few lines of say… DirectoryIndex, RewriteCond, and/or RewriteRule. It’ll simplify the entire URL to your ICal to something like ical.scottkuo.com and all of your buddies will be able to find out when you can all meet up by… feeding all that data to the all mighty Lord Google (resistance is futile). Alternatively, it can be posted on your own super cool Netvibes public universe.
Update: iCal link reformatted. Click on link to add to Outlook.
Update 2: Not supported by Outlook 2003 and prior.
