With all the projects that I am working on in the next little while, I did a bit of housekeeping with my Windows 7 superbar to make sure that can still ninja my way around the apps at an unnecessarily efficient pace. I am look at about 4 other app icons in the superbar before it wraps around to the next line. Do you have the same problem too?

Of course I haven’t tried Win 7… but it seems a magnification type effect would work well here… But I’m sure including such a feature would incite much criticism…or perhaps… flamewars.
Explorer: WINkey + E
Skype: don’t pin it, it can be minimized to the taskbar, unless you need to access it all the time
Language bar: do you need to enter Chinese characters all the time?
Battery indicator: use a widget?
Action Center: move it to the drop-down / pull-up?
*gasp* No IE8 supports?
Taking off the battery indicator is very un-Thinkpad like. I like Explorer there so I can use the pinned favourites to do folder hopping.
I think the language bar is the biggest offender in taking up space… they should really think about the design of that.
And no. No IE. Everything is broken in there… even though it accounts for less than 26% of uwlive’s traffic.
