Patent pending

As of this morning, my patent application (as the sole inventor) has been officially submitted with the United States Patents and Trademarks Office! I’m super excited that this was all done before I end my work term here at Business Objects. As some of you may know, this idea was originally thought of a few [...]

用力擠~ 嘿修

I am now on a super cram session to get my P***g and econ assignment completed for tomorrow. Word has it that the North shore mountains have been gifted with over 20 cm of snow (oh, BC “spring conditions” haha). You know where I’ll be after work tomorrow! But as I am typing this, I [...]

Off to Los Angeles

I’m on the cab on the way to the airport now rocking the punjab music lol. This is my first time flying to/from a US airport since September 11th. So it’ll be interesting to go through the “new” airport security for the first time. (:p it’s new to me) It also looks like the hotel [...]

Wine Tasting @ Hamilton Street Grill

I went out for a small wine tasting session at the Hamilton Street Grill near our office in Yaletown. It was my first time being to this restaurant I think (I’ve been to so many restaurants on Mainland and Hamilton that I’ve lost track by now). Business Objects was nice enough to have this session [...]

It’s a go

My patent application from a few weeks ago is now a go! As confirmed by the patent office, there’s no prior art on this technology yet from their research. I am quite excited about all of this… and the fact that sometime in the next year or two, my name will pop-up on the US [...]

So excited!

Today, I filed an application with Business Objects’ patent office. I can’t disclose anything about it … especially not in a blog post. But I am really really excited! It has a business need and a market for it, perhaps even some serious patent trolling potential. No, there are no existing similar products in the [...]

37 minutes

That’s how long I spent on the phone with tech support yesterday trying to set up my new laptop. The picture says 35:43, but I think the message is there. Grr. Ofcourse, the replacement was a dud, so it was back in the shop for the entire morning again today.
