Zune 3.0!

Well, the zune.net website is down right now. When it comes back up in the morning, it’s time for Zune 3.0! Also, the new 120 GB Zune player is now listed in the Amazon.ca store at $10 off. If you click on the link, it takes you to a 404 page. I’m really excited about [...]

Because I have no love for UW

I have created a small little graphic to summarize my textbook buying experience from UBC bookstores and the jerks at UW bookstore. Enough said. Guess where I am buying my books next time? (Assuming that I buy them within Canada) Note: The customer service portion is based on the process of returning a book… too [...]

Shopping in Taiwan

Rawr, today’s my last night in Taiwan. There’s still so many things that I want to get, but the credit card tends to disagree with me with the car insurance coming along the way. But I think my favourite place to go to for shopping in Taipei goes to 東區 and 信義區.

Citing concerns with health effects of bisphenol A in Nalgene water bottles, Mountain Equipment Co-op had announced on Monday to remove these polycarbonate bottles off the store shelves until a federal review of the chemical is completed. These chemicals were linked to illnesses caused by hormone disruption in several independent research studies. These bottles also [...]

Hidden deal: $1 CFL light bulbs

While I was at Canadian Tire today picking up a new filter for my humidifier, I saw these 2-pack CFL light bulbs for $3.99 and 4-pack CFL for $7.99. But right beside the bin, there were these $2 off coupons from Ontario Power Authority for any CFL light bulbs. Without having to do too much [...]

Mmm fast computer

I picked up a 2GB Sandisk Cruzer Titanium from Future Shop yesterday for $25. I plugged it in to the laptop and set Vista to use the drive for ReadyBoost with 1830 mb allocated. Oh, fastness. But apparently they got the 4GB variety in stock now, so I might be heading back there for an [...]

UPDATED: Microsoft Office promotion

Microsoft is now encouraging students to “steal” Microsoft Office. Well, starting this Wednesday, Microsoft will be offering their high end Office Ultimate to post-secondary students at a low low price of $60. This is actually a really good deal, because the best deal for Waterloo students still stands at $99 for Office 2007 Professional. Remember, [...]

Sweet deal from the bookstore

My mom and my sister bought me some textbooks for next term from Taiwan during their recent vacation in HK and Taiwan. So not only did I get a sweet deal from the bookstore they also threw in a little something extra.

Someone has too much time at work

Someone has too much time at work, originally uploaded by Scott Kuo. This picture was snapped at the T&T supermarket in Burnaby. It’s made with the good ol coke and sprite. Not something you see everyday? Although they really should’ve used the diet coke for that shiny and glossy grocery 2.0 effect… — Sent via [...]

Hunt for dress shirts

I went out to the mall in search for BCBG shirts. BCBG Attitude is the men’s brand from BCBG Max Azria. The sad part is that all of the BCBG Max Azria stores actually carry only their female products. So I went out to the Bay store where I stumbled upon a BCBG Attitude shirt [...]
