Ontario Engineering Competition at UW

The past week has been no less than crazy for me and the entire Project IRIS team. From designing the overall presentation for hitting a moving target down to creating an unbelievable sales pitch, we all did the best we could have possibly done to bring home a deserved 3rd place in the Innovation Design [...]

Half done exams!

I just wrote two exams back to back, PSYCH/PHIL 256 and ECON 371, this evening. Although I feel that I was adequately prepared for the exam, I think the answer key to the ECON 371 (Business Finance I) exam will start like last year’s exam…
It seems that the exam was much too long, even though [...]

Oh, it’s over now!

As of about… 10 minutes ago? We have full context switching for our OS project! About 95% of the project has already been implemented and unit tested so we’re effectively done!
Right on schedule…

Plan B [Update 2]

Since I didn’t get the job offer that I wanted for the next work term, I’ll be staying in Waterloo doing some extra courses as my “Plan B”. I’ve got the preliminary go ahead by the ECE department, so it is only a matter of paper pushing to make it official. What is “it”? A [...]

Out of my mind?

For reasons beyond any plausible explanation that I can give, I just had the spontaneous urge to extend my academic career by an extra term to do something totally crazy. It might not be a full load term too, since I’ll probably be able to write off a few of my engineering courses as anti-reqs.

This is my schedule this week

Kind of insane? Oh yea. There’s only one employer info session that I have scheduled in too. There’s also a bunch of things that didn’t make it into the calendar this week… i.e. passport renewal, student loan interest free paperwork, etc etc. =(
I think this term will end up like the 2B schedule in the [...]

Don’t let the picture deceive you

This is a photo taken from the ECE 324 lecture when Dr. Wayne Loucks was trying to explain to the class about load lines. Although his drawings on the tablet pc may need significant improvements, he’s actually really really good at explaining the material well in class (for those that listen to the prof, not [...]

Economic Theory

Drew this while taking a break from studying…

Oh wow

For my ECON 302 distance ed course, there will be only 5 essay or math type questions for the whole exam. The exam is worth 90% of the course. Usually, questions on economics exams aren’t too long either, even for the “long answer” questions.
This is getting me really worried.

用力擠~ 嘿修

I am now on a super cram session to get my P***g and econ assignment completed for tomorrow. Word has it that the North shore mountains have been gifted with over 20 cm of snow (oh, BC “spring conditions” haha). You know where I’ll be after work tomorrow!
But as I am typing this, [...]
